Terms of Service
Last updated 9 October 2026
Who you're dealing with
afreshai is operated by Elijah Robbyns, a sole proprietor based in Minnesota, United States, trading as "afreshai". There is no company behind it — it's one person. If that changes and a company is registered, these terms will be updated to name it.
You can reach us at support@afreshai.com. By using afreshai.com or buying anything from it, you agree to these terms.
What afreshai actually does
You paste in your work history and tell us about your situation. Software — not a person — rewrites it into a resume and a matching cover letter. You review and edit the draft on screen, pay once, and download the finished documents as PDF and Word files.
No human reads or reviews your resume. The whole service is automated. There is no career coach, no editor, and no one checking the result before you see it.
What we don't promise
Check everything before you send it to an employer. The software can make mistakes — misread a date, garble a job title, phrase something in a way you wouldn't. You are responsible for what goes out under your name.
We make no promise that using afreshai will get you:
- an interview, a job offer, or any response at all
- past any employer's screening process or applicant tracking system
- a document free of errors
We build the documents so applicant tracking systems can read them — single column, standard headings, real selectable text, no images or tables. That makes a resume readable by that software. It does not make it successful, which depends on how your experience matches the job.
Your side of it
By using afreshai you confirm that:
- you're at least 18, or old enough to enter a contract where you live
- the work history you give us is your own and truthful
- you won't use the service to build a resume misrepresenting someone else
- you won't resell, redistribute, or build a competing service from what you get
The software is built not to invent jobs, dates, qualifications or skills you didn't give it. If you give it false information, it will faithfully reproduce your false information. That's on you.
What you pay
The price is shown before you pay and is a single one-time charge. There is no subscription, no recurring billing, and no account that renews. Payment is handled by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record — Stripe collects payment, calculates and remits any sales tax or VAT, and handles disputes. Your card details never reach us and we never see them.
The charge appears on your statement as AFRESHAI.
Refunds
You see the full draft of your resume and cover letter before you pay, so you know exactly what you're buying. For that reason we don't refund simply because you changed your mind after downloading.
But if something went wrong, we'll fix it or refund you. If your files don't generate, download broken, or come out materially different from the draft you approved, email support@afreshai.com and we'll sort it out. Tell us what happened and include your payment receipt.
Separately from this policy, Stripe may issue refunds within 60 days as merchant of record, and consumer protection rules where you live may give you rights these terms cannot override.
Who owns what
Your content is yours. The work history you type in, and the resume and cover letter produced from it, belong to you. Use them however you like. We claim no ownership and no licence to them, and we don't keep copies.
The site is ours. The afreshai name, the site, its design, its document templates and the wording of its pages belong to us. You may use the templates for your own resume. You may not copy the templates, the site, or its content to build a competing product, resell them, or scrape the service — whether by hand, by bot, or to train a model.
Fair use of the service
afreshai is for people writing their own resumes. Automated access, bulk generation, reselling output as a service, and attempts to extract the templates or prompts are not permitted. We may block access where we see this happening.
Where your documents live
Your draft is held in your own browser, not in a database here. After payment we email a copy of the finished documents to the address on your payment, so you have them even if the page closes.
We keep no copy ourselves. Once that email is sent, your inbox and your downloads are the only copies that exist, and we can't retrieve or re-send them later. If the email doesn't arrive, contact us the same day and we'll sort it out. The Privacy Policy explains the handling in more detail.
Limits on liability
afreshai is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost job opportunities, lost income, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or the content of documents it produces.
Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us — which is the price of a single purchase.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that can't lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Your purchase is governed by the terms in force on the day you bought.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you're a consumer elsewhere, you may also have rights under your local law that these terms don't take away.
